Refurbishment of the activated carbon adsorption at landfill St. Augustin

Rhein-Sieg-Abfallwirtschaftsgesellschaft mbH (RSAG) has been operating the St. Augustin landfill since 1972. The leachate is treated in a separate leachate treatment plant for indirect discharge. The leachate treatment plant includes, among other components, an activated carbon adsorption stage, which is housed in a hall and is to be renewed.

During the planning of the new adsorbers and the periphery, particular attention was paid to simple operability and accessibility so as not to interfere with operating processes. The planning was carried out with a 3D scan so that the new adsorber line could be integrated precisely into the existing hall and existing infrastructure while maintaining practicability.
